I believe the Swiss Alps are among the most majestic, mystical, and alluring landscapes on the planet. The interplay of light, clouds, and mountains continually create a new visual expression on otherwise familiar scenes. A painter who explores the magic of light cannot stop from being compelled to express these landscapes. My observations in the Alps enabled me to see landscapes outside of Switzerland “in another light” and paint them.
